Salam & Hi to all..

Just a quick update. As you all know, I'll be departing to Abu Dhabi tonight at 9.05 p.m by Qatar Airways from KLIA.

I'm so excited to go there for a week and I really hope that I've the chance to visit around Abu Dhabi & Dubai once I'm there. Hehe..ramai la jugak yg dah 'book' souvenir from me. InsyaAllah, aku try beli as many souvenirs as possible for you guys with my 'tight' budget nie. Yela, belum start keje lg kan, so jgn expect souvenir yg gempak2 yer kawan2. Even my sister siap tempah jubah dr sana & my mom plak nak rantai or gelang dr sana. Haiyoo, celah mana nak cari yer?? Haha..

Just nak bgtau la the itinerary of my flight. It will be a 7 hrs flight (omaigod, sah2 la jet leg aku nnt) from KLIA to Doha, Qatar (which will be 1 hr transit before reaching Abu Dhabi), so tentatively should arrive in Doha around 11.50 p.m (nmpk mcm kejap kn tp kul 11.50 tu actually waktu kt Doha, time difference dlm 4,5 jam cmtu). Lepas tu from the, the flight to Abu Dhabi will depart at 1.05 a.m and should arrive Abu Dhabi International Airport at 3.05 a.m (just 1 hr flight tp sbb time diffenrence, nmpk mcm 2 hrs). Whoah, journey paling lama that I'll ever have. Hoho..

From the airport, there'll be a pick up for us (owh from Malaysia, there'll 5 of us including me) to Middle East & Asia Learning Centre (MLC) which is owned by Schlumberger & also will be the place that I'm going to stay for a week for the induction course. So, bye2 Malaysia, see u on the 30th!

Salam to all...

ok,last update was on 19 Sept 2010 and as for today, genap la 4 bulan blog nie bersawang tanpa any update. Bukan takde cerita nak update (byk je actually) tp mood nak menulis tu tak dtg2. Susah jgk yer kalo jd blogger yg ikut mood nie. Haha..tak perlu la kan nak update semua cerita2 4 bulan lepas, cukup la nak share something that happened recently. As most of you know, I'll be going to Abu Dhabi this Friday (21 Jan 2011, 9.05 p.m by Qatar Airways) for a week as I'll start to work with Schlumberger as a Field Engineer very soon. So as a new hire, the company will send for induction course for a week before we started working at our location (mine will be in Labuan)..

as I'm about to start to work, I received 2 special gifts from my senior & my best friend. Both are branded shirts which cost 3 digits per shirt (means more than rm100 la) which I never had before in my life. Yela, dulu as a student, mane la nak beli baju mahal2 kan. Kalo yg mahal pun, mesti ade discount 50 - 70%! Haha..tak mampu weh nak beli dgn duit scholar rm600 sebulan (nak byr duit hostel lg dgn duit tu).

Alhamdullilah, syukur sgt rasa bila ade org hadiah kan. To show them my appreciation, so I put it in my blog la. Entry nie bukan nak menunjuk-nunjuk ok!

eh,panjang la pulak mukadimah nyer (yela,dah b'bulan2 x update kn~). so, the 1st one was given by my senior, Lutfy (he's ex-UTP & currently working with Slb as well in Saudi Arabia). He 'belanja' me a Topman shirt when we went out together last Friday at KLCC & Pavilion. Thank you so much for the shirt & the lunch treat at Chilli's~

the second gift was given by my best friend, Haiqal whom I've known since Form 1 back in 2001 at MRSM Pendang. at 1st nak teman dia pergi beli iPhone4 je kat KLCC tp out of stock. but then he treated me Nasi Biryani for lunch & gave me an Armani Exchange t-shirt. owh lupa, his mom also made a very tasty & delicious Bubur Durian. thanks a lot Haiqal!

so,just a quick update for today. InsyaAllah I will try to update more on my experience in Abu Dhabi & Dubai on my next post. until then, take care guys~ =)

the End of World Cup 2010...

Salam & good day to all...

As we all know, the 2010's World Cup has come to the end and Spain is crowned as the 'Champion' for this year's edition. Well, one of my fav. teams wins it (recall from my previous post, I supported England, Germany, Spain & Netherlands). Congrats La Roja & to the Orange's supporters, please don't be so devastated for the lost coz your team did very well and it's just a matter of luck that Spain got the very last minute goal..

For this year's World Cup, there is 1 player that caught my attention which is Thomas Muller from Germany.

Well, he's such a young talented player that scores 5 goals through out the tournament which leads him to win the 'Adidas Golden Boot' as well as 'Hyundai Best Young Player'. He's just 20 years old (even I'm older than him!!) and a very good prospect for Germany for the other tournaments ahead~

Now since the World Cup has ended, I need to go back to my 'dearest' FYP. Oh, can't wait for this FYP to finish. God, please make it finish ASAP coz it's torturing me!!!! Huhu..

Hotel City Craze~

How are you my dear friend? Hope everything is alright la ye. Ok,entry kali nie is about one game that currently I'm playing on Facebook. I'm a bit addicted to this game actually since Lut introduced me (or should i say 'forced' me) to this game. Nama game ni adalah Hotel City. Hehe..

Game nie boleh tahan best gak lagi-lagi kalau ada member lain yg main (the more the merrier). Well basically, game nie is about building & managing a hotel la. Korg boleh decorate hotel korg as per your creativity and design hotel korg in many form. Tak semesti nyer in square shape like mine. It's up to your creativity laa.

Yg best nyer lagi, ada background utk di'unlock' by collecting items. Items tu either korg jumpa kat hotel korg or hotel org lain or korg boleh gak suruh member korg send item tu kat korg. So far, I managed to unlock all teh background. Hehe..jenuh gak ler paksa member-member main game nie. It is fun and you guys should try to play it~

Rindu

Salam & good day to all...

Hm, since nak habis belajar nie (1 more sem to go!!), rasa rindu plak dgn member-member sekolah dulu especially time kat MRSM Jasin. After almost 15 years of studying, it will soon come to the end (if aku tak sambung Master & PhD la). Penat jugak study nie eh, 15 tahun aku belajar (formally) non-stop hokayy!! Bangga giler and alhamdulillah, byk kejayaan yg aku dah kecapi. Thanks to all my teachers & lecturers~

InsyaAllah, I'll be meeting few of my friends yg balik bercuti from oversea. Looking forward for the souvenirs guys!!! Hehe..as mentioned in previous post/entry, there'll be a reunion with my ex-PUM mates kat Melaka. InsyaAllah, ktorg akan singgah MRSM Jasin to do some sharing with the juniors there (it's time for us to give back something to the school rite?). Besides my ex-schoolmates, I also miss the people who I used to work with during my internship in Schlumberger Labuan. Oh, walaupun Labuan tu memang tak best, tapi there are some good memories I had when I was there. Ingat lagi biler mula-mula sampai, rasa lonely sgt sebab takde member. Tapi lama-lama biler dah get along with all the people there, macam-macam ktorg buat such as karaoke, main paintball, BBQ, lepak-lepak tepi pantai, open house, birthday celebration & many more. Lagi tersentuh bila some of them even asked me, bila nak datang balik kat Labuan tu. Huhu..sangat-sangat terharu ye biler ada org cam rindu kat kita. Hehe..

Singapore & Rumah Bola~

Ok, entry kali nie ada 2 cerita that I would like to share (erk,takde la cerita sgt pun). Haha..post sebelum nie aku dah cerita about my vacation plans with my friends. Alhamdulillah, tiba-tiba mcm murah rezeki kali nie, so insyaAllah bulan September nie aku akan ke Singapore! Hooray..

This is a plan made with Lut & Ridhwan. So I'll be going to Singapore with them and we plan to take a train to go there! Haha..and kat sana nanti, ktorg just tour by MRT je kot. Tempat yg paling ingin dilawati would be the Universal Studio!! Yg lain-lain tu cam biasa la, Sentosa Island and mana-mana yg Lut nak bawak pegi (since dia dah pernah pegi sana). So excited & can't wait to go there!! Owh, kena buat passport dulu before pegi sana. Hehe..

So, the next story lak pasal Rumah Bola. Pelik tapi benar. Since sekarang nie demam World Cup, so macam-macam benda pelik pasal bola nih. Ada sorg mamat Australia nih (Adam Santarossa), tinggal dalam rumah bola sepanjang berlangsung nyer World Cup.

Yang best nyer, event nie Adidas yang buat. So fully sponsored by Adidas la. Best jugak la sebab ada cleaner, laundry, PS3, laptop & he even got some money (USD 2,600) for doing this plus some goodies from Adidas. Best nyer, I wish I have this so-called 'house'. Kerja mamat nih just watch all the matches, tweeting, writing blogs and playing video game. Oh,such a heaven!!

P/S: Tiba-tiba rindu kat ex-schoolmates sebab will be meeting some of my friends yg balik cuti from oversea, plus ada reunion soon. Hehe.. =)

Vacation oh Vacation!

Salam & good day to all~

So for this time entry, lets talk abaout VACATION! Vacation is defined as "A period of time devoted to pleasure, rest, or relaxation". I believe everybody needs a break either from work or study. Bak kata pepatah, "Take a break, have Kit Kat!" (hokey,takde kaitan. hehe..). So since I'm in a semester break right now (even though I'm still stuck in UTP because of FYP!!), I'm still planning for a vacation with family and friends. I had my vacation with my family last 2 weeks in Setiu, Terengganu and InsyaAllah, I'll be going to Pulau Redang with my friends early July! Wehuuu..

Not to forget, end of July, my ex-P.U.M club-mates will be organizing a gathering/reunion at A'Famosa Resort, Melaka! We're also planning to have ikan bakar at either Muara or Umbai (nyummy3~) and visit our beloved school, MRSM Jasin if we got time. Looking forward to see you guys okey~~~ =)

The above would be the vacation that soon I'll be having (insyaAllah..), but I also had in my mind a plan to have a vacation after I finished my studies (which will be end of this year!!) and I'm targeting OVERSEA!! Haha..memang dah lama teringin nak bercuti kat luar negara. So my destination-to-be would be either London, Paris or Melbourne. Hehe..I choose these 3 places simply because I have friends that currently studying there. So it would be helpful for me to go around places there with the help of them right?

Oh,I'm planning to go there alone since it's hard to find someone which hasn't have any constrains to go with me (either money constrain or time constrain). So it would be easier for me to go by myself without having any friends coming (except those yg ada kat negara yg bakal dilawati tula). But it's not confirmed yet since I need to plan this carefully and liaise with my friends at that particular country. I really wish this would be a dream come true cause I really want to go there!!! Hehe.. =)

World Cup 2010: Too many upsets~!

Well, I hope it's not too late for me to talk about World Cup right since it has been started for more than a week now. This edition of World Cup is a little bit disappointing to me because there were too many upsets from the favorite teams like France, Germany, England, Spain and Italy cause they either lost or ended up draw with disappointed performance. I have this theory laa, since it's being held in Africa which is known with their witches; maybe all the team have been "cast" by the witches due to their poor performance. Haha..

You guys might wonder (if you are lah), which team I support? Normally, each person has 1 favorite team that they support but for me, I got FOUR! Haha..saja nak support team byk2, at least kalau yg 1 kalah, ada team lain yg got through kan. Hehe..let see what are my favorite teams:

So, those are my favorite teams during this time around World Cup. (How about you guys, which team(s) you support??) But then again, only Netherlands had performed quite well since they won both games in group match while others were quite disappointing. Huhu..well,still hoping for the best for all my teams. =)

Owh, I just watched Toy Story 3 last night and it was GOOD. It's fun & hilarious and worth watching laa. More worth it than watching the World Cup. Haha..ada gak babak yg sedih & rasa cam nak nangis je. Hehe..those who haven't watched it, go get the ticket at the nearest cinema ok! (if you like to watch cartoon/animated movie).

If I weren't becoming an engineer...

Salam & good day to all~

Lately I kept on wondering what would I be if weren't an Engineer? Well, I did have few ambitions when I was a little bit younger (skrg still muda lg, takde la 'tua' sgt~). Since I have a deep interest in science, I once wanted to become a Scientist. When I was in form 4 if I'm not mistaken, I wanted to become an Astrologist that time. Haha..but after the MARA Trial when I was in form 5, I got offered either to further my studies in Medic or Engineering. Then I decided to go for Engineering in UTP and I chose Chemical Engineering because I happened to like Chemistry at that time. But it turns out that Chemical Engineering has nothing much to do with Chemistry. Haha..I did feel regret with my decision but I need to move on with whatever I'm on right now. Alhamdulillah, things were good in UTP especially when I got offered to do my internship with one of the top Oil & Gas company in the world and hopefully I'll be working with them soon, once I graduated.

But I don't want to talk about what I'll become soon because pretty much insyaAllah I'll be an engineer once I graduated. But what if I could turn back time & I can choose different path, what would I become? Haa..I want to involve in broadcasting industry, to become a host or maybe having my own talk show. Haha..totally different from what I'm doing right now. But who inspires me? Tadaaa:

I really wanna be like Ryan Secrest, hosting American Idol & as a Radio DJ as well. He's very talented as a host and he even has his own entertainment company. Cool isn't it? I wish I were like him. Neil Patrick Harris! Owh, he's very talented actor/comedian. He can act, sing, hosting & even do magic. He has been hosting quite a number of big events such Tony Award, Emmy Award, TV Land Award & World Magic Award. He also performed in most of the events he hosted and also including opening of Academy Award recently. Damn he's good. Well, most of American or western actors are talented besides acting. Huhu..so what about Malaysian? Do I have anyone that I wish to become like one? Yeah, I did have one. And he is...

Ally Iskandar

Ally Iskandar! Haha..he's one of the talented host in Malaysia. He's hosting MHI (Malaysia Hari Ini) and hosted AJL (Anugerah Juara Lagu) for few times. He even got his own talkshow which is Ally. Actually I want to become more like him because he's educated and talented at the same time. Not most of the host in Malaysia, merapu je lebih. I like to host something that 'berilmiah' like MHI and at the same time, involves in entertainment business. You might be wondering, how about other figures like Aznil Nawawi or AC Mizal? Yeah, they also a good & talented host but I don't want to become like them. Haha..I wanna become a sempoi, funny & charismatic host if I could la; and be able to make jokes & make people laugh while I'm hosting & yet being respected by others at the same time.

Well, tu just my angan-angan jela kan. Surely I won't become like one. I'll stick to engineer kot. More stable career and hopefully one day I can have my own company. InsyaAllah.. =)

A week plus of my Sem break~

Salam & good day to all~

Huhu..I am now back in UTP, after only a week plus of the semester break which suppose to be 2 months. Haha..memang dah nasib badan, since 1st year lagi I don't have a complete 2 months sem break, longest would be a week plus only. Giler rasa cam loser jer. Haha..dulu busy dengan events, sekarang dgn FYP lak. Haihh,pasrah jela. So,my so called 'sem break' was a bit packed with few things happened unexpectedly. I went back home on the 2nd June and arrived safely at home in the afternoon around 12 o'clock laa. But around 6 p.m, got a call from my mum saying that my grandpa passed away. So, me & my family straight away went to my dad's hometown at Maran, Pahang for my grandpa's funeral. Sampai kampung agak lambat gak la, around 11 p.m. Sampai-sampai je terus solat jenazah & kebumi malam tu gak. So, I would like for all my muslim readers to sedekah Al-Fatihah to my late grandpa. Al-Fatihah..

So, kenduri arwah diadakan for 3 nights in a row and the best thing was we all cooked & prepared everything among my dad's siblings. Dah rasa macam raya plak sebab ramai-ramai kumpul. Walaupun dalam mood berkabung tapi I would say, I did enjoy working together with all my aunts, uncles & cousins. Meriah la jugak dengan cousin yg still kecik-kecik lagi kan. Diorg bukan tau sgt pun, asal jumpa keje nak main je. Huhu..

Then, after that, my family went to Setiu, Terengganu for a family vacation. Actually bukan la vacation sgt since my dad actually ada keje kat sana. Tapi dah alang-alang tu, jadi kan la vacation since ktorg stay kat Sutra Beach Resort & Spa. Memang exactly kat tepi pantai, memang terbaik. Pantai dia memang nice la tapi bilik and makanan kat sana kureng sket la. Haha..but anyhow, I did enjoy staying there. Dah lama tak merasa lepak2 tepi pantai sambil layan blues. Hehe..

So after 3 days 2 nights kat sana, we all went back home lah. As usual la, I did nothing at home except sleeping, eating & watching TV. Haha..I also bought my desired camera, Canon Ixus 130 last Thursday at BB Plaza. The price? Just let it be my secret la ye, don't wanna brag here. Hehe..on that day sempat gak tengok movie sepam dgn Fit. Ktorg tgk citer The A-Team. Best oo citer tue, action + klakar la. Memang worth it la tengok. Yg lagi klakar nyer, time beli ticket wayang tue, aku dgn slamba nyer cakap dgn yakin nyer kat akak kaunter tue, "Kak, nak 2 tiket citer Team-A" & akak tue pun dgn slamba bg la tiket tue. After a while, baru aku sedar yg aku salah cakap, patot nyer A-Team tapi aku pegi cakap Team-A plak. Haha..

p/s: sekarang musim durian, so memang skrg in the mood of eating durian. Haha..next entry maybe I'll write a bit on World Cup, which teams I support since skrg tgh demam bola kan. Hehe..

Merdeka?? Another semester to go~

Salam & Good Day to all...

Alhamdulillah, hari nie berakhir nyer my final exam for this semester. Meaning, I'll be having only ONE more semester to go before I completed my degree!! (wow, terasa diri nie dah tua sgt~). For this semester, my final exam timetable was a bit weird la. I had 3 weeks of finals, 1 paper in the first week which was Engineers in Society (EiS), then followed by 3 back-to-back papers (without any interval or even a day break!!) on the second back which were Reservoir Engineering, Petroleum Exploration & Human Resource Management. Yes, it was very tiring to answer 3 back-to-back papers without a single day break but I think I did pretty well for those 3 papers (hopefully at least got B+ for any of those). Then, the finishing paper is today, during the third week which was Corporate Communication. The paper was OK I guess. Hehehe..so saje jela nak show off my exam timetable supaya korg senang tengok camne kan. =)

So, next semester will be Final Year Final Semester for me. Huh, I'll be the most senior next sem. Wow,another semester before I enter the career world. It feels that I just finished my secondary school yesterday. Time does fly without we notice it. Huhu..so for next semester, I'll be taking either 5 or 6 subjects (since I didn't decide yet to take this 1 subject or not). The subjects are:

Final Year Project II
Final Year Design Project II
Drilling & Production Technology
Operation Management
Malaysian Studies
Facilities Engineering, Transport & Storage

I also will start to job hunting next semester. Yikes, this part is the scariest part I think. Job hunting, sounds scary right. Tak tau what would be my fate, dapat ke tak my dream job. Huhu..will try to apply as many company as possible.

But my main target would be Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, Shell or Halliburton. To some of you, you guys might be wondering what kind of company is that??? Haha..basically, I have deep interest in Oil & Gas industry, thus all the mentioned companies are Oil & Gas companies which 3 of them are service provider. I prefer that kind of company cause they provide more hands-on as compared to office job (which I don't really like cause it's BORING!!) and of course la the money is soooo good. Haha..but I really hope that my previous intern company, Schlumberger will offer me international or oversea placement. I really3x hope so. Hehe..i'll pray hard for that & wish me luck guys..

p/s: kinda sad because some of my friends will be graduating soon. sedih biler terkenang kenangan suka-duka time sama-sama join event. seriously, will miss you guys so much especially Aiza, Daus, Acap, Bangkit, Kudah and those yg pernah kerja sekali with me. I wish you the best of luck in your future undertaking k~ =)

my Wish List for 2010

Hehe..ntah semangat apa yg dtg merasuk dlm badan nie, tiba2 je nak update pasal my wish-list for this year. Tapi wish jela dapat, lom tentu dapat kan. Reason?? Sebab harga benda2 yang aku wish nie bukan murah yer kawan2, ada yg menjangkau angka ribu. Hoho..yela,motif la nak wish benda2 yg rm2 je kan. Hopefully at least ada la 1 or 2 barang2 nie yg aku akan beli. Tak mampu la nak beli semua dgn scholar rm600 sebulan plus additional a couple hundreds from my parents. Maybe kalau dah kerja nanti, every month akan ada wish list, target sebulan 1 barang, insyaAllah kalau dapat kerja dgn gaji yg bagus la. Nanti nak kena bg kat parents lg, simpanan utk kawen lg, nak makan lg. So balance tu baru beli ape yg dihajati lah yer. Ok, byk nau aku membebel nih, list nyer tak keluar2 lg. Haha..so, here goes the list:

1. Canon IXUS 130 Camera
hehe..memang dah lame nak beli camera tp x beli2 dari dulu. so I decided to go for this camera la, malas nak angkat DSLR, bkn minat sgt pun nak tangkap gambar nie. Just sekadar utk ada je. Senang kalau nak tangkap gambar, takyah la nak pinjam camera org lain nanti. =)

2. iPhone 4G
haa,since sekarang nie ramai yg guna either iPhone or Blackberry, so terasa la nak beli either one of them kan. Tapi since aku tak berapa minat sgt kat Blackberry, so iPhone would be my fav. choice la. =)

3. Ray Ban Sunglasses
walaupun dah ada 1 spec nie, tapi tetap nak lagi. hehe..cam addicted lak nak beli sunglass nih. try gak usha brand lain tapi Ray Ban gak yg memikat hati. haha.. =P

4. Fossil Watch

haa..niat utk membeli kasut baru memang tak penah padam. hehe..dari dulu dah usha kasut nih, so hopefully leh dapat someday. =)

apa jadah nyer la aku mimpi nak beli iPod Shuffle nie kan. hehe..reason nyer sebab kalo nak gi jogging or exercise senang nak dengar music since benda alah nie sgt kecik & ringan. haha..cam saje nak abes kan duit je kan?? =P

Hokeyh,blog nie sgt2 la bersawang ye, last post was in February & now we're in May. So it has been 3 months from my last post. Reason? Takde mood & internet UTP yg sgt weng. Haha..so for this time around, I want to compile all the things I've done within the last 3 months (March, April & May). Haha..ala2 album compilation la, 1 post gedebuk terus dgn mcm2 cerita. Hmm..bulan nie mcm takde pape yg menarik je. Haha..oh yeah,bulan nie cuti mid-sem, so sgt la busy dgn test & assignments yg berlambak-lambak nak kena hantar. I remember, I got 4 tests just before the mid-sem holidays. This was a crazy month I guess, caught up with all the responsibilities as the university student. Haha..

Hmm..I think I got things that were going on this month, Chemi Jan'06 Outing & a Crazy Trip with my friends. Hehe..

Chemi Jan'06 Outing

Ok,for those yg tak tau ape kejadah nyer Chemi Jan'06 tu, that's my batch & course. Chemi adalah singkatan utk course Chemical Engineering & Jan'06 is our intake time masuk UTP dahulu kala iaitu intake January 2006. So, jd la Chemi Jan'06. So pada tanggal 9/4/2010 iaitu pada hari Jumaat, around 30++ dak2 Chemi Jan'06 went to Manjong & Lumut for our so called 'outing'. Haha..we had steam bot buffet at Shabu-Shabu in Manjong. I think I had posted an entry regarding this place when I was going with my other friends (click here). After dining together, we decided to go to Lumut just for jalan2. Haha..memang takde keje time nie. Pastu keje tangkap2 gambar je. Hoho..so, enjoy some of the pics yaa~

Crazy Trip: Ulu Kenas, Kuala Kangsar & Taiping

Haa,nie plak di panggil crazy trip sbb tak plan sgt pon, last sampai ke Taiping ktorg pergi. Haha..if I'm not mistaken, this was on 17/4/2010. At first, nak mandi manda je kat Ulu Kenas, but then hantu mana ntah rasuk ktorg, last jalan sampai ke Kuala Kangsar & Taiping. Hehe..kat Kuala Kangsar tu jln2 sikit then makan laksa & cendol kat tepi sungai. Kinda nice gak la. Then jalan ke Taiping, main swan-boat dekat tasik then makan lg, mee udang taiping plak this time. Haha..mcm jln2 carik mkn la plak, keje dok mkn je kn. Malas nak bebel pjg2, enjoy da pics jela yee~

Hmm..bulan nie belom abes pon lg kan, tapi rase nyer takde pape sgt pun yg akan berlaku kecuali ktorg skrg kat UTP tgh Final Exam, and my paper will finish exactly end of May. Hoho..so early this month, we had our batch dinner. Since some of our batch which is Jan'06 will be graduating soon (this June), so we decided to have the dinner this sem. We had it at Clearwater Sanctuary Resort, Batu Gajah. The theme was "Elegant Black & White" and we had a bbq buffet with performances while we were eating. Sgt enjoy la that night even though some us couldn't make it but most of us did attend the dinner la. Congrats to the organizing committee & those who came. So,again let the pics do the talking. Hehe..

my Diet Program & Workout Training~

Haa,tgk title dah mesti pelik kan? Apa jadah mamat nie nak ber'diet-diet' & workout plak nih? Hahaha..last Friday, awek si Amzar datang UTP (she's UTP student also but currently doing her internship) to promote some stuff. Apekah?? Rasa nyer maybe some you already knew about this product - Herbalife. At first aku cam tak interested pun dgn product nie. Tapi lepas ditimbang (using special scale), I had a second thought. Why?? Because I'm concerned about my body lah. The results showed that I have quite a high body fat percentage which worries me the most lah. I need to lose at least 2.5kg but my target would be 5 - 6 kg!! Haha..so I bought the products which cost me rm300++ per set. The diet program is simple, I need to take twice a day of combination Formula 1 & Formula 3 during morning & night, only eat lunch & drink 3 liters of Tea Mix everyday! I started yesterday and everything went well, alhamdulillah..

But actually it's not all about me losing weight. After I came back from my internship, lots of people said that I gained some weights, pipi nampak tembam & perut a bit buncit. Besides of taking the Herbalife's products, I also started to workout (to get more efficient result). But I just do simple, basic practice only which are sit ups & weight lifting. I also jog at UTP Lake in the evening. And guess what, I also have trainers to guide me for the training and to push me to do it everyday. Siapa lagi kalau bukan my three best friends; Afiq, Amzar & Eppy. Thanks guys for the support!! Muchas gracias~~

Last but not least, I just watched this movie (even though it's an old movie, around 2007 I think) which is "P.S. I Love You". I saw this movie lots of time on HBO or StarMovie (I'm not sure which one) but I didn't feel to watch this movie. But then when I feel bored and got nothing to do, so I downloaded this movie and watch it. And then, I found this movie kinda interesting and kadang2 cam berair gak mata nih tengok movie nie. Haha..cam layan cite hindustan plak. =P

A Thought of Mine...

Ok, I had this thought when read some of my friends blog. People can be different when they're writing something like a blog or a poem. They can be someone else. But I would like to be specific, which is in blog writing. I read one blog belongs to a friend of mine; where his writing is different form his characters. But I can tell that he was writing from his heart, deep down inside, he is another person. Well, everyone has their own signature of writing their blog. Some express their feeling, some put their "karya", some share experiences & stories and list goes on. Me? Oh, I like to write stories and experiences that I had. Why? Because I want to treasure that moment & everytime I read back all my posts, sometimes I cried. Haha..because I miss that moment that I had. Yes, this blog is something precious to me. Maybe I rarely update it but I just want to make sure that everytime I post something, it has some meanings to me which I'll cherish & remember it. I don't really like to express my feelings or opinion over some issues in my blog. Again, everyone has their own way of writing a blog. Enough said~!

My series-to-watch list: 2 newly-added~

Recently, I watch some series which kinda make me stuck like for hours in front of my laptop to finish watching it. Hoho..those are The Vampire Diaries & The Mentalist. I also watch other series but those are the newcomers of my series-to-watch list. Ok, some synopsis of the two series.

The Vampire DiariesThis drama/series is about two Vampires (old but young-looking); Stephen & Damon came to a town, Mystic Falls because of a woman named Elena. She has a face which resembles the dead vampire, Katherine which used to be both lovers. This series has some Twilight & True Blood influence in it where sometimes you can see some similar parts. Well if u like hot & good-looking vampires, u might want to watch this. Anyhow, the storyline is good though, worth to watch..

The Mentalist

This is not really a new series like the Vampire Diaries since it's already in Season 2. If u guys like to watch House & CSI (must like both, not either one), this is a story that u should watch. It's about Patrick Jane which helping CBI in solving murder cases. He has this ability like Sherlock Holmes, I would say where he analyzes everything he sees around him in order to solve the case. He's not a psychic though, he just observes things based on logic. His attitudes are kinda similar to House which is annoying in some ways but always right.

It's MAKAN Time...

Last Friday, I went to Pizza Hut at Batu Gajah to belanja some of friends; Acap, Aiza, Embun & Kudah. Why? Saje je nak belanja. Oh, I feel good when I'm treating someone. But of course lah, I can't treat people always, kadang-kadang jela bila ada duit lebih kan. When I was in Labuan doing my internship in Schlumberger, they have this attitude of belanja other people. Everytime when we had dinner together or we went for karaoke; they normally berebut to pay for it. At first I feel weird about it but somehow I realize, it feels good when we sometime spend some money to other people. We can see their happy faces and saying "thank you" to you; it's such a satisfaction to me. So back to the Pizza Hut story, we had our dinner there somewhere at 7 p.m. I said to them, just order anything that u wish to eat. So Acap had Seafood Lagsana & Deli Wings, Embun had Cheese-baked Meetball, Aiza had Meetball Bolognaise & Salad, Kudah had Cheese-baked Rice and I had Super Supreme Cheesy Lara Stuff Crust Pizza & Deli Wings. For dessert, we had Choclate Volcano & Fuji Cake. Korg mesti fikir, wow diorg nie tak makan seminggu ke apa. Haha.. Nyummy~

Ok, enough with that. So for today's entry, I just want to have a proper wrap-up on my internship which I just finished it a month before. So here some of the stories that I wish to share with you. Hahaha..just some of introduction for those who might be wondering where I was doing my internship. I did my intern in Schlumberger (one of the service provider in oilfield), attached in Completions Segment, located in Labuan, Malaysia. The duration was from 2nd June 2009 - 6th Jan 2010 (basically almost 8 months or 32 weeks).

It's all started when I submitted my resume at Schlumberger's booth during OGS - Oil & Gas Symposium (which was somewhere in March, 2009). Alhamdulillah, my resume got shortlisted and I got into the 1st stage of the interview during TEC - Technology, Education & Career (a.k.a UTP Career Fair). During the 1st stage tu, I was needed to pick a topic from a bowl & talk about it for 3 minute (I got topic on lightning/kilat - totally merapu my answer). At 1st memang tak expect to get into the 2nd stage since I thought I screwed my 1st stage tapi Alhamdulillah, rezeki dapat ke 2nd stage. During the 2nd stage (which was on the following day), it was a group assessment where we were divided into groups of 6-7 if I'm not mistaken lah. We were needed to build a platform from papers & tapes which can stand 8 golf balls (but my group's platform could only bare 5 balls before it collapsed).

Then few days after, I got a call from Chin Na (one of the recruiter), saying that me & 5 other student got into the 3rd stage which was done in Rohas, KL. In the 3rd stage, I was interviewed one-on-one by the Recruiting Manager (which was Wang Yu at that time) and it was a bit relax since the interview was more on knowing my personalities & interests. Alhamdulillah, a day after, the result came out and I received an email from Kak Fauziah (also one of the recruiter) saying that I got offered for a placement in Schlumberger as Interns. Fuhh, bukan senang ye nak dapat, kena undergo 3 stages of interview and those 3 were kinda hard, trust me...

So, starting 2nd June 2009, bermula lah hidup ku sebagai seorang Intern kat Schlumberger Labuan. The life was pretty hard for the first 2 months since I need to adapt to the environment, the people & the culture there. Kena study giler-giler since I don't have any background on Petroleum Eng. It was a challenge for me but hey, I like challenges, if not I wouldn't choose this company. Kena marah, tengking, humiliated and pressured tu sgt lah biasa kat sane. But I learned a lot there. Seriously, there's not even a single regret accepting the offer (Alhamdulillah, I also got 3 other offers from DPS Bristol, Halliburton & Aramis). I met great people and the food there (especially seafood) are marvelous. Cuma Labuan is just a small island, so 8 months staying there was quite boring I would say. Nothing much can be done there except work, work and work!! Huh~~

I don't want to tell every single thing that I had in Labuan since I posted quite a lot of entries on my activities in Labuan. So I just want to share some pictures taken during my last few days in Labuan. Enjoy....

Rasa nyer dah berbulan-bulan blog nie tak diupdate. Sorry yee,mood nak menulis tu tak datang. Hahaha..so basically I've done my internship & currently in UTP for the Final Year (yihaaa...after 1 year,no more test, exam, assignments & those other shits. ;P). So after tiba2 dtg mood nak update blog nie,so post kali berkisar pasal permergian daku & kengkawan ke Cameroon (last 2 weekends) & Manjung+Lumut (recent weekends).

Cameron Craze...

So,last 2 weekends (31/1/2010); me, Hazran, Kamil & Pi'e went to Cameron. Ktorg dgn kurang siuman nyer bertolak from UTP roughly around 3 o'clock in the morning (time nie still bosan tatau nak watpe. Haha..). Sampai Cameron dlm pukul 5.30 pagi camtu. Ok pengakuan berani mati - aku muntah once arrived kat atas Cameron tuh (jalan like hell kot,mana tak muntah aku..). Ktorg at 1st saje je la konon nak breakfast kat Cameron tuh (sgt takde keje!!). Tapi last2 round2 Cameron sampai tghari daaa. We ate roti canai for breakfast at one of the stall there, then went to waterfall for a morning walk, went for brunch+jalan2 at Tea Farm, shopping at Kia Farm & lunch at Strawberry Moment (yeah,mmg terbaek lah,makan aje je memanjang kt sane~). So around 2p.m camtu, ktorg pun berangkat pulang lah ke UTP yg terchenta~ (owh again,aku muntah for the 2nd time on the way back. Haha..hampeh~)

Manjung+Lumut Craze...

Last recent Saturday, Hazran ajak aku gi teman dia gi makan steamboat kat Manjung dgn member2 dia (sekali semua perempuan daaa..). Aku walaupun demam still teman dia gak la, member punya pasal kan. Ktorg b'8 bertolak dalm kul 7ptg ke Manjung. So around 8.30 camtu sampai la ke destinasi cinta yg ditujui iaitu Shabu-Shabu Restaurant. This is my 2nd time mkn kat sini. Yg best nyer pasal tempat nih, buffet just byr rm9.90 (siang) & rm15.90 (malam). Makanan memang mcm2 ada termasuk BBQ. Memang sgt murah & worth it to come. Sgt puas hati k. Makan sampai nak pecah perut. Haha..naseb la aku demam malam tuh,kalau tak memang la dah melantak kaw2. Hehe..ktorg stay kat situ sampai pukul 10.30 then we off to Lumut lak, saje nak lepak2 buang masa. So kat sane just jalan2, usha pasar malam & took some pics. Then dlm pukul 12 lebey camtu balik la ktorg. Sampai UTP dlm pukul 1 lebey la gak and then memang tido tak ingat dunia la aku kan. Haha..thanks to Hazran, Fiqa, Ide, Muni, Mahirah, T-rex & Yan for the nite~ ;)

Tadi around pukul 5.30 ptg camtu, I got a call from Elly. She was asking me to go out for dinner at Mawilla (not only me la, together with Jamal, Zaini & Kamal but Zaini didn't join us). So, four of us had a dinner at 7 o'clock. FYI, Mawilla is a place where they serve seafood. So kalau datang Labuan, mesti singgah k since masakan diorg memang la terbaekk~ We had 'Ketam Masak Telur Masin' , 'Ikan Goreng Pedas' , 'Butter Milk Prawn' , 'Telur Dadar' , 'Baby Kailan with Osyter Sauce' & 'Fish Soup'. Memang terbaek la all the foods and thanks to Kamal for treating us all tonight.

Ok, this week also, my segment; Completions is having 2 people transferring out to other location which are Ms. Premjit Gill & Mr. Wesley Attkinson. Premjit is a RMC Field Engineer in Labuan but will be going to be a Resevoir Engineer for DCS in K.L. Meanwhile, Wesley is a SMS Field Engineer and is transferring to Houston, Texas as a Sustaining & Development Engineer. Both of them have been a very good friend of mine here in Labuan. Prem is like my big sister here since she helped me a lot especially when I was in RMC before (i'll be missing her a lot!! sob3x..). Wesley is my 1st American friend (i would say) and he also had taught me a lot on SMS stuff (even though sometimes he was quite annoying. =P). To both of them, I wish you guys all the best for your new job at your new location. Hope to see you guys soon. Thanks for everything, Prem & Wes!! =)

Olla & good day to all~

I don't know why my recent posts were all about food. Haha..is that why i gained Xkg after 6 months in Labuan? (hmm..no wonder laa~ =P). But yesterday, when i reached the office, Amy mentioned about my karipap. She was asking did i really make the karipap by my own (motip pandang rendah kt trainee? Haha..). And there were also Elly, Kamal & Rao sitting at thier own cubicle. So we were like then discussing to have a picnic later at the evening. So Elly was like really wanting to eat my karipap (she even dreamed about it. haha..). So we made our decission to have durian & karipap at the beach at 4 o'clock.

But since now is a raining season and apparently the sky looked like about to rain yesterday's evening, so they changed the plan. They bought durians & cempedak to be eaten at my house @ Penghulu Tuah. So again, we just had a small 'picnic' at my house. Owh, I served them my last stock of the home-made karipap to them (which about 5 pieces left! =P) & we also had cempedak goreng! Nyummy~~

Ok, it has been 2 week since my last post in this blog (referring to Karl's blog) . So, my blog a bit bersawang la. I was quite busy lately & plus got no mood to update this blog (where did the mood go?? Hmm..). Ok la, last Saturday i was making karipap ayam & spaghetti. But of course, the karipap ayam is the main highlight here since it's not easy to make one (owh,it's not a normal karipap btw, i made karipap pusing). Actually i did it once two weeks before but it's kinda like a trial version of karipap. So for the 2nd time, i made some adjustment from the one i had before to make it better la.

Last Saturday also, the SMS (Sand Management Services) guys were planning to have a picnic at Layang-Layangan Beach and watching the sunset! Unfortunately,it was raining that evening. So we had to cancel the plan and go to plan B. Hehe..instead of having picnic at the beach, we had a so-called 'small picnic' at my house @ Penghulu Tuah. So, Pak Asep bought us all KFC with some drinks (thanks Pak!!) and I served them my home-made karipap. We watched a movie also that night which was Hot Fuzz.

Back-to-back Birthday Celebration~

Salam & good day to all...

Last Wednesday (21 October 2009) was my beloved mentor's birthday (her name is Agnes Tan). So,we the Completions people were planning a surprise party for her. Also, a day after, after touched by our surprise party, she bought us a dinner at Fisherman Restaurant (where all the foods were supremely delicious! Haha..hyperbola cket. =P).

So,back to the surprise party, the master plan were Premjit, Airin & Elly (the Lady Engineer trio). They planned to surprise her during the night. Plan nyer adalah, ktorg beramai - ramai from Prem's house bwk birthday cake tunggu depan pintu and as she wants to go out, ktorg dah tercegat kat depan pintu and say "Surprise!!". That was the plan lah. Tapi biasa la,kita hanya mampu merancang tp tuhan yg menentukan (sesuai ke? boley la...). Nama pun org Malaysia kan,plan tu suppose to be at 7.30 p.m tapi since mostly dtg lambat, so tak jadi la nak ikut plan asal tuh (but me, Jamal, Zaini & Kamal dtg awal ye,tp kul 7.40 la. Hehe..thanks to Kamal for picking us up walaupun kete Kancil dia mcm nak roboh. =P). So since Agnes pun dah nak keluar,last2 ktorg yg ada time tu menyorok kat bilik bawah rumah Elly (also Agnes' & Airin's house) with the cake. Nasib baik la bilik tu ada control panel utk letrik rumah tu,so ktorg pun black-out kan rumah tu and with the cake, all of us went out from the room and together sang the Birthday's song to her (agak menjadi la supprise tu walaupun semua dah kelam kabut since Agnes dah nak keluar mkn dah time tue,dia dah bukak pintu dah pun pastu tiba2 black-out kn. Hehe..). Owh,we had KFC & Pizza Hut for the party. Nyummy~~

It was my 1st time eating at the Fisherman Restaurant even though byk org yg ckp restaurant tu best. She booked 2 tables for us and we had a very good foods that night (some of the foods we had kinda rare and only Labuan has it~). Thanks to Mazlan for picking us up from the house (and hantar blk obviously~). Among yg dtg mlm tu adalah : me (obviously lah!! perlu ke mention? =P), Jamal, Zaini, Agnes, Kamal, Airil, Mazlan, Airin, Husna, Premjit, Aleng, Amy, Elly, Hasfia, Hung (the Vietnamesse guy), Pak Asep, Ruby, Fatimah & Jennie (owh,what a list~). Yg penting, all of us went back home with a full stomach. =D

My 1st cooking in Labuan...

Salam to all~

Yeah,at last,setelah sekian lama menunggu,akhir nyer dapur rumah aku dah ada gas. What does it mean? It's cooking time!!! Haha..so after like 4 months without cooking a single food (maggie is an exception~), me and my housemates (Jamal & Zaini) pun memasak la semalam. Ape yg kitorg masak? Just a simple one; telur masak kicap & sambal ikan bilis. Ok la tu kan,mula2 masak la simple2 je. Next time leh masak something yg complicated sket (si Zaini suh aku masak tomyam. Reti kah aku??).

Nak di jadikan cerita,balik je dari kerja semalam; aku, Jamal & Zaini pun berjalan la ke kedai utk membeli brg2 dapur (eh,pegi naik van,blk yg jln kaki. Hehe..). As usual lah,aku la yg act mcm 'mak' & diorg mcm 'anak' (walaupun aku lg muda dari diorg. =P)! Haha..aku yg pikir ape nak beli & diorg tukang angkat brg2 tu. Ngehehe..brg yg ktorg beli antara nyer; kicap, sos, bawang, kunyit, cili etc (byk sgt nk list out~ =P). tapi total sume2 ada la dlm rm30++,ktorg share duit sikit2. Blk je dari membeli,start la sesi masak - memasak bersama Chef Anas. Haha..si Jamal & Zaini tolong2 je, aku suh la diorg tolong kopek bawang & kentang sementara aku prepare benda lain. Walaupun mula2 aku rasa cam agak nervous since dah lama tak masak,tapi lepas diorg makan masakan aku, Alhamdulillah, licin sume pinggan. Haha..so,nak masak plak ek lepas nih? =P

Karaoke sampai Lebam!!

Hi there guys..

Yesterday, I had a 2nd review (after I did bad during my 1st review. Sobbing~) with the RMC people and some CC & SMS guys. Alhamdulillah, after the presentation, the feedback was pretty good. Even some said it was the best presentation ever had by a trainee (soo happy~ =D). So after the review, I went for lunch with Najib & Fitri at Deen Restaurant (thanx to Najib for paying us the lunch~).

Then time malam plak, Syukri called Jamal utk ajak ktorg gi karaoke & dinner skali. So he picked us up at our house and went to Mary Bite for dinner (tapi since aku & Jamal dah dinner kat rumah,both of us just had a drink there). Owh,turut serta dgn ktorg mlm tu adalah Elly, Hasfia, Airil, Airin & Haslan. After dinner,we went to 129 for karaoke!! Since mlm weekend,so mmg susah gler la nak cari parking. Ktorg bape kali round area tu nak cari parking (leh abes minyak sbb nak cari parking je. Haha..). So,around 9.30 p.m camtu ktorg pun karaoke la. 1st song yg aku nyanyi mlm tu was "Menghapus Jejakmu by Peter Pan". Then the night goes on la dgn mcm2 lagu lg. Around 10++ p.m camtu; Kamal, Yusri & Najib join ktorg. Hah,biler diorg dah join, mmg terus mcm nak pecah la bilik karaoke tu. Mmg lyn lagu rock jela pastu (so aku pun nyanyi la Sedang Ingin Bercinta by Dewa & You Give Love A Bad Name by Bon Jovi). Diorg mmg kalau karaoke,tak hingat dunia (sume stok giler2 je. Hehe..). Since diorg mostly nyanyi lagu2 rock lame (even ade lagu yg aku sendiri tak pernah tahu. Hoho~),so mmg tarik sampai hilang suara la aku mlm tuh. Haha..so around 1 o'clock camtu,ktorg pun blk la. Anyway, I enjoyed to the fullest last night (lame seh tak karaoke dgn member2~).

Salam & good day to all..

Actually nak tulis this post last night tapi mood plak takde since didn't feel like writing last night. So,lepas balik dari keje arini,tiba2 dtg mood plak kan nak tulis (walaupun byk benda nak buat nih). Pada tanggal 11 October 2009 (hari Ahad), Schlumberger Completions Labuan telah mengadakan open house sempena bulan Syawal yg mulia nie (pergh,gler skema intro aku nih. Haha..). But the best part is,ktorg semua distribute task for the open house. Kira most of us contribute something la (tapi tak semua yee). So, among the contributors were:

Elly+Airin - rendang, kuah kacang, nasi impit & raya cookies
Prem+Fatimah - nasi minyak & ayam masak merah
Amy+Aleng - mee hoon goreng ayam
Fitrie+Najib - lemang & rambutan
Hafiz+Kak Anis - nasi lomak & ayam goreng rempah (yg mmg terbaek lah)
Anas+Kamal+Jay - fruit punch, soft drinks, fruits & chips
Airil+Jamal+Ruby - plates, cups & chicken salad

Open house tu di buat di Lot 7, Lazenda 1 at 1.00 pm. But just imagine,team yg sepatut nyer menyediakan pinggan+cawan dtg lmbt tapi org dah start dtg. Mmg menggelabah lah ktorg time tue. Nasib baik la rumah Elly tu ada some plates & cups. Kalo tak,mmg kena mkn atas daun pisang ler jawab nyer. Haha..tapi ape2 pun,open house tu berlangsung dgn jaya nyer & we had a lot of funs that time (despite of me being bullied to be a waterboy that day. Hehe..).

in Remembrance of my Nike shoe…

Salam & good day to all~

Ok,this post is kinda back-dated one. I lost one of my Nike shoe time aku beraya kat umah sedara aku kat Senggarang, Johor. Masih ku ingat tarikh keramat itu (cewah!!) iaitu pada pagi 23 September 2009 (hari Selasa), when one of my shoes was stolen by a dog!! Ade ke patut anjing tu amek sebelah je, pastu stokin yg ada dlm kasut tu dia tak nak amek plak tuh,kasut je dia amek (reminder: stokin tu baru di pakai ye,ia tidak berbau seperti yg disangka. harap maklum.) So,mmg sgt la sedih aku time tu. yela, kasut yg berharga rm200++ (time aku beli tu la) dgn duit aku sendiri & aku mmg suka gler la kasut tu. Walau bagaimanpun, kehilangan kasut tu tidak melemahkan semangat aku utk beraya hari tuh. Haha..raya tetap raya beb. But a night before, aku memang nak letak kasuk tu dlm kereta ayah aku tapi entah kenapa,aku tak buat camtu & letak kasut tu kat luar rumah sedara aku. Tup,tup je, keesokan hari nyer,kasut aku dah hilang sebelah (if only i did that,my Nike shoes will still be here ). But anyway,nie bukan kes yg pertama seumpama nya kat rumah sedara aku tu. Mmg dah ramai sedara2 aku yg lain penah hilang kasut / selipar kat umah dia (even mak aku pun penah hilang kasut dia ok!). So nak buat camne kan,pasrah jela.

During raya dgn Haiqal & Afiq (a.k.a Cutez), aku pun beli la sepasang kasut Nike baru utk menggantikan kasut yg hilang tu. Still,aku rase kasut lama aku tu lagi smart dari kasut yg aku baru beli tu. Haha..

Akan tetapi,despite of having a new shoe, i still want another one (with a better design la~). Haha..so, today I went through few websites to check on the Nike Shoes' design that available. So,here are some of the designs that caught my eyes:

But i really fall in love with the last one, which is Nike Air Max 1 which will only be released somewhere next year (haiyoo,what a long wait~). Tapi tak tau la kat Malaysia bila release nyer kan. Hoho..so watch out k to any Nike Boutique or Al-Ikhsan Store out there coz akan ku serang kedai anda anytime!! Muahahaha..

p/s: will be having a Completions Open House this Sunday. Kamal suruh aku buat air & Elly plak suruh aku masak something. Haiyoo,macam mane nih? Tapi yang penting,esok ada review with RMCians & Amy. Wish me luck yee. Cheers~

Celebrating the September's Babies~

Salam & good day to all~

Ok,this is the 3rd day in a row i'm writing in my blog (ntah ler,tiba2 mood nak menulis dtg. kalau tak,sampai berbulan-bulan tak update kan! Hehe..). Btw,last Friday, a bunch of Completions people (not all though) were celebrating the so call "September's Baby" which are Kamal, Airin & Ruby. It was a supprised to them actually (not to them only,org yg dtg pun t'suprise gak since only the organizer je yg tau. Haha..). At 1st, we all wanted to do it at Blue Wave but due to heavy rain, we switched the venue to Mehfil. So,among people yang hadir mlm tu adalah me (obviously,if not i won't be writing this rite!?), Premjit (as the master plan), Husna, Agnes, Iwan, Airil, Haslan, Elly & Najib; besides the 3 people who we were celebrating & tidak ketinggalan,the late comers; Roy & Jennie (tu pun sempat mkn kek je. Ok la tu kan,drp tak mkn pape..).

The so call party supposedly to start at 8 p.m tapi tau2 jela kan, waktu Malaysia,last2 start around 9 p.m. So we had some indian food at the restaurant which were roti Nan, nasi biryani, tandori chicken, prawn massala and some other foods that i couldn't recall (since mostly indian names la. sori..). And for the drinks,we all had a tasty & delicious Mango Lassy (nyum3x. owh,Ruby had Nescafe Ice. motip!?). So after some chit chat, eating & pictures taking, Prem & Husna sorok2 keluar, get the cake and then bagi kat org restoran tu through the kitchen's door. After few minutes, when all people started to settle down a bit, one man came from the kitchen and bring the cake to us. Since ktorg je yg ada dlm restaurant tuh,so tanpa segan dan silu nyer,we sang the birthday song out loud!! Hehe..owh,the cake is like damn delicious k! then as usual, more pictures taking moment until the clock ticks 10.30 p.m. After that,semua org pun cam dah ngantuk & penat,so most of us headed home except for Prem, Jennie, Roy, Iwan & Ruby where they all went to Dorsett for clubbing (biasa lah tu,name pon Schlumberger. =P). Tapi yg pasti, kezutan tu tetap menjadi. Mmg terharu lah diorg. Yeay~

my Ramadhan in Labuan~

Salam to all...

As promised,this entry will be about my 1st experience berpuasa. Eh,bukan 1st time berpuasa ye,tp 1st time berpuasa di Labuan (mcm la aku tak pernah puasa kat tempat lain kan..). Owh, plus berpuasa sambil bekerja,mmg satu pengalaman yg akan dikenang seumur hidup lah (haha..mcm la pasni aku tak keje sambil berpuasa). Ok,before i show the pics,better cakap sikit la psl pengalaman aku nih (sikit ke??). Ok,since skrg nih dah minggu kedua Syawal,so aku pun takde la ingat sgt 1st day aku puasa camne. tapi yg aku ingat,as usual la,1st day puasa of course la kan semangat bangun utk sahur. aku sahur maggie kalau tak silap (tu je yg ada kat dapur time tuh). 1st week puasa agak mencabar la bg aku since aku kena keje sambil puasa. bukan keje dok ofis dgn aircond,tapi keje tgh2 panas pastu kena angkat barang2 sume. agak mencabar sampai aku pernah rasa nak pengsan. time tu tgk air mineral pun cam sedap giler je. (very temptation at that time the mineral water.) =P

Aku normally buka puasa beli kat bazar je. tapi bazar kat Labuan tak se-best kat semenanjung. since byk gak kuih2 yg ada kat semenanjung takde kat Labuan. kalau aku pergi bazar pun,benda yg sama je aku beli. Either nasi ayam @ nasi biryani gam @ nasi kerabu. kalau dah bosan sgt,aku beli kebab or murtabak (tapi murtabak dier sgt hampeh,byk bawang & kentang je tapi harga rm3. motip!?). bosan kan? tapi mmg tak byk choice sgt la. tapi time puasa gak la aku save byk duit sbb aku just spend less than rm10 per day. sahur mkn je apa yg ada kat dapur tu.

Pastu time puasa nie gak la paling byk aku buka kat hotel. ada la dlm 6 kali (5 kali free,sekali je aku byr. hehe..cool kn??). mostly aku buka dgn Schlumberger Completions nyer staff. tapi kalau buka kat hotel pun, 2 tempat je ada, either Grand Dorsett or Tiara. so bila dah 3rd time mkn kat tempat yg sama (walaupun free), tetap bosan gak sbb the food still the same. haha..labuan nih kecik aje,takde byk tempat nak mkn sgt. Setiap kali aku berbuka kat hotel,ada cerita di sebalik nyer:

1) 1st time buka kat Grand Dorsett with Najib, Fitrie and his wife,Wanie. lepak kat sana dari pukul 6.30ptg sampai pukul 10.30mlm!! (borak tak hingat dunia time tuh) - Fitrie paid for me~
2) Then buka kat Tiara with RMCians (Azizi, Iwan, Husna, Premjit, & Hafiz+Kak Anis+baby Hariz) - nie Azizi plak bayar~
3) Had Completions Dinner/Break-fasting at Grand Dorsett, thanks to Alex Kosmala (the Operational Manager) for treating us that night~
4) Again break-fasting at Tiara with the Completions people (Azizi, Najib+his friend, Husna, Iwan, Airin, Elly, Hasfia & Kamal) - this time Najib paid for me,heee~ =D
5) Break-fast with ex-UTPians at Grand Dorsett,actually nak buka among Slb's interns but it turned out jadi UTP's interns + ex-UTPians break-fasting since Faris tak jadi join. (buka with Epit, Bob, Iwan, Radzi, Muhyi & Dibah) - owh,this time i paid myself! =P
6) Actually then bukan buka kat hotel, tapi ktorg buka kat Restoran TomYam Bukit. tapi kira buka kat luar la kan. Hehe..(yg hadir: Azizi, Husna, Aleng, Amy, Najib & Iwan) - again,thanks to Azizi for paying us all~

Owh,besides mkn kat luar or beli dari bazar,aku ada gak buat buka puasa ramai2 at my house (we had KFC + nasi goreng kg. + bihun sup + ice lemon tea + some kuih-muih + some fruits) dan buka kat rumah Fitrie (where his wife cooked a very delicious nasik ayam. nyum3x). Time buka kat rumah aku tu, mmg la last minute plan. time tu tgh lepak2 kat RMC lab pastu si Hafiz pun keluar la idea utk buka kat tepi pantai la, kat KFC la and kat mane lagi ntah, but last2 ktorg decided to do it at my house which is at Penghulu Tuah. So,thanks to Hafiz+Kak Anis+baby Hariz, Jay+her sister, Raj (walaupun dtg lambat), Husna, Iwan, Jamal & Najib for coming & memeriah kan buka puasa yg simple tapi best giler! (eh,Iwan & Jamal tu mmg ahli rumah daa. Hehe..)

Salam & good day~

Haa..dah lama aku tak update this blog (abes berswang-sawang,cam bilik aku kat umah. Haha..). dah 2 bulan kalau tak silap. lagi pun,before this rumah aku takde internet, so mmg takleh nak update pape la, nak update kat ofis cam malu plak kan. Haha..so bout this entry, aku nak list la barang2 yg aku kira mahal pernah aku beli time aku intern kat Labuan nie. Btw,aku jarang beli barang mahal2 ni ok, yela student mane dapat duit byk,paling mahal pun aku beli handphone lepas dapat elaun komputer from MARA which is rm5,000 (somewhere May or June 2007). time tu mmg tak ingat dunia la, beli terus handphone Nokia 5700 Xpress Music that worth rm1,300 at that time la (time tu baru sebulan handphone tu keluar kat pasaran yee!!). dan handphone nie terus berbakti kpd aku sampai la skrg nie. love this phone so much! =)

Then,lepas aku start intern kat Labuan nih dgn gaji ribu2 (ribu2 la sgt kan. Hoho..), aku pun berbelanja tak hingat dunia laa. boleh kata setiap bulan ade je benda yg aku beli. haha..friends, don't do this at home!! =P

So,here are the things that I bought during my internship (so far la...) :

1) Mont Blanc - StarWalker (Perfume)
barang nih aku beli 1st time dapat elaun. aku ada post pasal nih. time tu hang out dgn Faris and he's the one yang mempengaruhi aku utk beli perfume nih. harga perfume nie rm225. aku mmg suka bau perfume nih sbb its quit manly and takde la kuat sgt,just nice je. and it last like forever (giler hyperbola aku. hehe..). owh fyi,nie jugak 1st time aku beli perfume yg ori. aku before this mmg tak pakai perfume pun (just pakai deodorant je),last aku pakai perfume time lower form kat sekolah dulu which was Drakar Noir,given by my mum.

2) Ray Ban (Sun Glasses)
haa,nie pun 1st time gak aku beli sun glass. again,it was other people who influenced me to buy this which is my housemate, Iwan (since dia pun ada 1 gak). aku beli sun glass nie 2 minggu before aku balik raya kalau tak silap la. harga sun glass nie rm500 (after discount rm400 + another rm100 sebab aku tambah power kat sun glass tuh.). So ape lagi,mmg aku bergaya sakan la kat kampung dgn sun glass baru nih. Hehe..=P

3) Sony X-Series Walkman 32GB
actually benda nih mmg aku dah lame eye on it,time tu aku pergi Kemaman dgn Hasfia (end of June time tuh) and his the one yang tunjukkan kat aku benda nie kat Sony Shop at TimeSquare. So,sekali lagi la,aku beli barang sbb org yg influence. Haha..tapi aku beli this thing last Tuesday,tu pun bila Iwan cakap ada org jual half-price kat internet. aku apa lagi,straight beli la. Haha..market price this thing is rm1,599 and i got it at rm830. this thing mmg cool giler la sbb dia touch screen (cm iPod), ada wireless (leh masuk You-Tube & download lagu online) plus ada noise-cancellation technology (so bila korg dengar music,mmg tak dengar bunyi lain selain lagu yg korg dengar tuh. cool kn??)

The Ups & Downs of My Life..

Salam,

Hari ni aku rasa agak happy la. Maybe some people think that I shouldn't be happy because of it but if you were in my position, surely you'll feel the same way. Today, I got the opportunity to redress the MRP (Modular Retrievable Packer) with Raj & Hector which is very hard to get that chance la. Sure korang fikir,apa la yg best sgt kan. If you guys are working in Oil & Gas industry, especially in Service Company like Schlumberger, to get to know things that you can hardly see it everyday, it's such a bless for me to get to see it. I can see the parts inside the packer and redress it where even some engineers that been working years in Slb haven't seen it. Lucky me. Tomorrow I'll be redressing the XMP (Premium Multi-Port packer) which is the most high tech equipment that Slb have ever made. Again,I'm soo lucky to see all the inside parts of it. Plus, since I'm having 1st visit tomorrow, I managed to 'pujuk' Hector & Raj to do it after I finished the the visit and they agreed. Yuhuu...=) Then,another thing is,my engineers and specialists are so supportive,even for my 1st visit they also want to attend it. It's hard to get their support since Slb's people is known because of their 'ego'. Even in other segments, most of the trainees like 'dipinggirkan'. So,to have such a supportive team in the segment during my internship, it helps to keep my moral up.

Btw,like stated at the title above,there're some 'down' times for me. Yesterday, I really felt so down and I even thinked that I won't be joining Slb after this. Haha..it's all because of what my mentor said to me during the pressure test yesterday's evening. At that time,we were talking about my future & stuff. So I was saying that,my mentor might get an email from the Recruiter to ask about my 'prestasi' when I was doing my internship in Slb, either I can be a Field Engineer in this company or not. You know what she said, she said that "Aku akan cakap kat recruiter ko yg ko ni takleh wat keje & bla,bla,bla..", and I was like so supprised by what she said. The day before, I was staying until 7 p.m just to put all the assemblies into the basket before they are sent to offshore. Just imagine,only me, Salleh & Erwan did that job. All of them were going home even though they're the one who should stay and do all those jobs since they're going offshore and I'm not. It's not the only thing la, I've done a lot of things without she knew it and just because I screwed up one thing during the pressure test, she said I cannot work in the company. I was pissed off that time but I didn't show it la. I just pretended that I'm ok with what she was saying and just continued talking with her. It's not the 1st time actually,I felt the same way lots of times since I joined this company. My mentor is very hard to be satisfied,you know. But well,that is what you'll exprienced when you join multi-national company like Slb. A lot of tough time while working here.

So,moral of the story,just live your life to the fullest. Yeah,you might feel down sometimes,but good things surely will happen in your life after that. I just want to quote some lyrics sang by Miley Cyrus, The Climb : "I gotta be strong, I gotta keep pushing on.." Cheers~ =)

Salam & good day to all~

Don't know why I got the 'mood' to write in my blog. It's my 2nd time of the day writing in this blog. Maybe I started to love blogging as compared to before. So for this entry, I divide it into two parts, one about my workplace at Schlumberger and the other one is about my 5 days in Miri.

Ok,some introduction of my segment (or others call department). I'm in Completions (where most of you are aware of it kan?) and it consists of 3 sub-segments namely are Core Completions (CC), Remote Monitoring & Control (RMC) and Sand Management System (SMS) or we normally call it as Sand Control. So, I'll be in each sub-segment for 2 months. Now I'm in CC and about to finish actually by end of this month.

5 days in Miri..

Last week, from 13th to 17th of July, I was in Miri for Sea Survival course/training (or people normally called it BOSET). I did it at MSTS for 3 days, 1 day for transfer medical (for Petronas) and on Friday is my flight back to Labuan. I was staying at Grand Palace Hotel (which cost me RM1954 for staying there but Schlumberger bares all the cost la..). So for 5 days in Miri, besides undergo the training during the day, me & Faris went out with Epun & Wan at night (thanks so much ye Epun & Wan). In fact, Wan was staying at my room for 4 nights. Hehe..oh,not to forget, I also went there with my FSM, Pak Orient & another guy from D&M (stands for Drilling & Measurements) names Leonardo (he's a Brazilian). So Epun & Wan brought us around Miri during the night with Epun's new Viva. Hehe..we watched Transformer at Bintang Plaza since Faris is desperately wanted to watch that movie so much but ended up 3 of us sleeping during the movie except for Wan (we were tired,not because the movie was not good). For dinner,the 1st night, I treated them all at Secret Recipe, then we went to Selera Rasa Sedap (SRS) Restaurant (twice) and Muara Restaurant for the following nights. Oh, during the last night, I went out with Embun, Odie, Raffie & Yasmin plus of course la with Wan & Epun (Faris already went back to Labuan that time). Again, I bought them all for dinner at SRS.

During the Sea Survival training, I had to listen for 1 day lectures about safety, sea survival etc. The next day, I had HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training) at the pool. At 1st, we need to jump from a 2 stories height buliding place into the pool (kinda scary for me since I'm a height phobia person but I did jump ok). Then,we also had a training on the Safety Boat and Sea Survival. Next,the highlight of the day,of la the HUET where we were needed to be inside the helicopter and escape from it when the helicoptern is underwater. We also had Fire Fighting training and First Aid. Now, I can go offshore for PETRONAS, Shell & Murphy well So the my flight back to Labuan was at 11 o'clock on Friday (17/7) by MasWing (for both trip). So within a month, I had 7 flights; when I came to Labuan at the 1st time (1), to Kemaman (4) and to Miri (2). For Labuan-Miri trip, the fares just rm300++ if you go there by MAS,not sure if by AirAsia how much will it cost. It feels so good to be back in Labuan you know. Cheers~ =)

Today, I went to Ujana Kewangan with Faris just to free ourselves from the fucking boredom living in Labuan. We shopped few things and the highlight of the day, definitely the perfume that both of us bought. Faris bought a perfume from Dunhill (I forgot the name of the fragrance~) and me, I bought a perfume from Mont Blanc, the StarWalker. The smell is fucking good I tell you. Can't wait to have it on my clothes tomorrow. Haha..the price? Hmm,as compared to K.L, for sure the Labuan price is much cheaper. You can get 3 bottles of the same brand in Labuan with a price of a bottle if you buy in K.L. So,you guys can estimate la the price right?

What A Day~

Salam & Greetings~

Today for the 1st time, I went back home at 7 p.m since I was quite busy helping the team to put some assemblies into the basket for load-out (FYI,those terms are oilfield terms). They were GT Packers, Side Pocket Mandrels and others that I could not recall for Bokor Project, Well Bo-221. So we finished somewhere around 5++ p.m. So I stayed at the office,did some readings while waiting the clock to tick at 7 p.m. Oh yeah,maybe some of you are wondering what the hell I was talking about at the early sentences. Just so you know, I'm currently in Completions Segment,to be specific in Core Completions. In this segment,we deal with equipments such as Safety Valve, Isolation Valves (such as TIV,FIV), Packers, Sliding Sleeve and many more. Every equipments has their own function,if I were to explain those all,memang sampai ke esok tak abes. So,to sum up everything,those equipments mentioned before are installed for oil production (to know more,you may ask me later k). In CC,we have 4 Field Engineers namely Agnes, Amy, Elly & Suba-Rao. So just imagine, I need to satisfy all four engineers in order for me to pass my internship. Crazy huh? Yup,each of them ada la perangai masing2 & understanding yg berbeza-beza for every equipments. So,memang pening la aku bila diorg nie explain kat aku pasal setiap equipment sebab masing2 ada version yg tersendiri walaunpun basically lebey kurang je (tp diorg still nak jawapan ikut pemahaman diorg). Memang susah nak satisfy diorg berempat tuh. Kalo Field Specialist ada ramai,dalam 10 org, I guess. Tapi diorg sempoi je walaupun suh aku wat macam2. But it's ok cause it's for learning purposes. Nak dijadikan cerita, all three female engineers kat segment aku nih couple dgn specialist dlm segment yg sama. Oh,Amy dah kahwin pun dgn Ah Teng (nama Melayu nyer Fadzli), Elly and Hasfia will engage somewhere this Discember but Agnes and Jilbert "teman tapi mesra". Gitu lah cerita sedikit sebanyak dlm segment aku nie.

So,normally aku pergi kerja dlm pukul 7.10 a.m camtu and balik around 5 p.m (by pick-up which is a bus). For lunch,normally I had at the cafe at base,just need to pay RM3 and you'll get 4 dishes including drinks and fruit. Tapi sometimes ada gak la engineer or specialist ajak aku kuar lunch sekali dgn diorg. Yg pasti,sume di tanggung. A day before yesterday,my Manager belanja 10 of us for lunch. Apa lagi,bedal la lauk byk2 time tu. Bila lagi kan Manager nak belanja. Thanks ya Pak Orient (he's Idonesian,so all of us call him Pak). For dinner,depends la. If I was like damn fucking tired,right after Maghrib prayer I went to sleep already. But if I still have some energy, I walked to the nearest restaurant which takes nearly 10 minutes from my house (normally with Ridhwan and Naseer). Kalau dah malas sgt,makan jela Maggie. Haha..cam zaman sekolah lak kan. Nak wat camne. Kalau rajin lagi,gi la town by taxi,so pegi la KFC ke, PizzaHut ke, McD ke or other restaurant available in Labuan. Weekend?? How about my weekend eh? Hmm..here in Schlumberger,we only have one day for weekend which is on Sunday. On Saturday,we still need to work okey (half day only but if got lotsa work to do,it might drag until five or seven o'clock). So during weekend,it's for me to rest heavenly in the house. Layan cite kat external hard disk (cite2 yg telah di download kat UTP dulu) or layan la cite kat TV (kalau ada cite best la!). Or maybe hang out with my friends (tapi kat Labuan nie,kalau hang out pun,alih2 kat Financial Park tu gak~). But then, I just been here for a month. Lotsa places to be visted really soon~ Haha..

p/s: I'll be going to Miri this Sunday (12/7) until Friday (17/7) for Sea Survival course. Last month I went to Kemaman,so this time to Miri. Next month hopefully (really2 hope to) that I'll be going offshore~

My Life: A month in Labuan

Oh,it has been almost a month since my last post in this blog. Even though azam nak update every week but since mood utk tulis blog cm takde je,so tak update2 la blog nie. Lgpun bkn ade readers pun kan. So,no pressure! Hehe..ok,after a month plus in Labuan,a lot of things happened to me. So,let's recap what I had after a month in Labuan (besides working at the base):

1) Going to Kemaman Base

Ok,on 25th June 2009 (Thursday) at 4.30++pm, I got a call from Hasfia (my senior,his a Field Specialist for Core Completions) to go upstairs, meeting him (i was chatting with Hector & Airil at the smoking area at that time,but I don't smoke ok!). Then I went upstairs and he asked me to accompany him to Kemaman Base on 26th (which is the next day) and our flight is at 8.00am. Damn,it was so last minutes and I couldn't say NO of course,so I went with him to Kemaman then. We took a flight from Labuan to KLIA and from KLIA to Kuantan. The gap between both flights is 7 hours approximately,so we went to Times Square and Low Yat in between the flight time. Then once arrived in Kuantan,a pick-up took us to our hotel in Cherating which is at Impiana Cherating Resort. It's a 4 stars hotel, I guess and one room per person,no sharing. From the hotel to Kemaman Base,it took almost an hour I think. There at the base,I helped him to take our stuff (most of them are lock-out tools) to be shipped to Labuan Base. After 3 days in Kemaman,we went back to Labuan on the 30th. Again,the gap also was 7 hours,so we went to Times Square also where I watched Transformer and had a lunch at Secret Recipe & bought some Big Apple's donuts (since Labuan's cinema sucks big time and there's no Secret Recipe & Big Apple - so cam org jakun cket la time tu. =P),so when I had the opportunity to be in K.L, defenitely la I enjoy myself to the fullest. Haha..total expenditure of the trip per person would be: hotel - rm1300 & flight - rm1899 (ditanggung sepenuh nye by Slb,thanks ye Slb~ =D)..

2) Good boy gone bad...

Haha..pada tanggal 4 July 2009,pukul 11.00 p.m, officially aku gi ke Pub at Dorsett Hotel. That's my 1st time to be in a pub. At 1st,I was hesitated to go,but I changed my mind and followed Ridhwan & Radzi that night. We had our dinner 1st,then around 11 p.m,we went to the pub. But no worries guys, I didn't do anything that against our religion (such drinking or having sex.. =P).We just sat there and watching the live band (the band was pretty cool though). There were some rugby guys (I think they just had a tournament) that rocked the pub by making lotsa noise and other weird stuff. Haha..around 1 a.m,we went back home laa...do I want to go to the pub again? - MAY BE..

3) VT's day out!!

On the afternoon (today),we as the Vacation Trainee in Schlumberger had a day out together. Me, Mamoo, Aini & Faris. Since Mamoo & Aini are just about to finish their internship,so they both 'borong' kain & some other stuff since kat Labuan; kain, rokok, arak & coklat memang la sgt murah. But Mamoo was the highlight of the day. Haha..beli kain tak ingat dunia. Me as the Fashion Consultant Trainee, Aini as the Advisor @ Senior Consultant while Faris just tengok2 jela si Mamoo shopping tu sambil hisap rokok dekat sekotak gak la. Hehe..They spent I think almost rm300 or more for all the stuff. Owh yeah,some introduction of them; Mamoo (a.k.a Scofield Jr.) & Aini (a.k.a ustazah rock),they're both from UTM and only 2 months in Slb; Faris (bajet Awie..) plak from GMI and he just been in Labuan for 2 weeks but he'll be here for 4 months. So,those are my new friends here in Labuan la. But both Mamoo & Aini will be going back to UTM on this coming Thursday,so no more VT's morning meeting,no more Mamoo yg gila2 even though kadang2 quite annoying gak. Hehe..so sad bila diorg nak blah dah. Well,setiap pertemuan akan berakhir dgn perpisahan,so redha jela kan...

1st Week of my Internship at Schlumberger~

Assalamualaikum & greetings to all,

Ok,today is my 6th day in Labuan. I'm thinking to regularly updating my blog,weekly perhaps not only for someone to read,but for me to treasure every moment here in Labuan (I've never been in East Malaysia before,this is like the very 1st time I'm here..). So lets talk about what I've gone through this week.

1st Day

I had my flight to Labuan on Tuesday, 7.50a.m at LCCT (by AirAsia obviously). Since I need to check-in quite early, an hour before the flight time,so I had to wake up 5 o'clock in the morning. Me & my parents were heading to the airport somewhere around 5.45a.m and we arrived there I think around 6.20a.m. I did all the necessary things and then waited until 7.30a.m before going on board. The journey took nearly two and a half hour to arrive at Labuan Airport. Then,me & Epit went straight away to the base (Asian Supply Base) to report to our respective manager a.k.a Field Service Manager (FSM). Mine is Orient Balbir Samuel,an Indonesian. Oh,another thing,here in Schlumberger,we don't call people with Mr. or Ms. or Dr. or what knot since for them,everybody here is the same,regardless of your position or qualification. Then,I've introduced to my Mentor, Agnes Tan, a Field Engineer in Core Completions. Yeah,forgot to mention before,I'll be in Completions segment for the whole 8 months in Schlumberger. Later on,my Mentor showed me to all the people in the segment before we went out for lunch. During lunch, I met some girls (all of them are engineers ok..), Airin, Premjit, Ruby and Husna. Then,we back to the base,got all the PPE (hard hat,coverall,safety class and boots) from Ruby,the segment Admin and had a shop tour at the workshop with my mentor. After 5 o'clock,I went to my house by the company's bus. Just imagine,my Admin gave me the wrong key and I could enter the house and waited for an hour for my housemate to come. I have three housemates, Ridhwan, Naseer & Indran but only Indran is in K.L for sometimes. At night,we all went to have our dinner by walking to the nearest restaurant and they paid for me. Hehe..

2nd Day

Nothing much I did for the 2nd day but I had the opportunity to observe the engineers to pressure test one of the equipment which was SSD (I can only observe cause I don't get enough training to do any work yet). During lunch time,my mentor again brought me out to Blue Whale and blanje me. Hehe..they said, VT (Vacation Trainee) nt need to pay. Of course la,they earn like rm10,000 per month. For them,money is not a problem especially in Labuan coz there's nothing to do much here except to spend their money for food. Hahaha..at night,my housemates again treated me at Pizza Hut. So,no money spent that day. =D

3rd Day

Today,I got NEST (New Employee Safety Training) for the whole day. It just about the HSE policy and issue in Schlumberger. Kinda bored actually,just imagine,it's like you were listening to HSE lecture for 8 hours. Haha..but the interesting thing is,all Schlumberger employee need to wear seat belt everytime we are in any vehicle including bus or even when you seat at the back. If not,you might get terminated by the company. Hoho..sounds crazy right but it actually can reduce the impact of the accident since vehicle accident is no. 1 cause of death in Oil & Gas industry. So guys,please wear your seat belt ok,it will keep you safe at least.

4th Day

On Friday,I just completed all the orientation checklist so that I can start working a.s.a.p somewhere next week. I'm a lil' bit happy today since my FSM finally allows me to have sea survival training (it's compulsory for someone who'll be going to offshore). So,I hope my FSM will allow me to go offshore during my training here. Really want to go there cause it's once in a life time to have the experience going offshore unless you're the real engineer and not many of them have the opportunity though. At night,I went to Choice Restaurant (a famous Indian Muslim restaurant in Labuan) with Naseer and again,he paid for me. I had Murtabak Daging which was so huge and I couldn't finish it myself. Later on,we went to Ramy's house,to lepak2, had some chit chat and watching Astro (since our house doesn't have one). Ramy is from Saudi Arabia and he's in Cementing, Well Services segment. We were at his house until 12 midnight and the we went back home.

5th & 6th Day

For both days, Saturday and Sunday, I went to Epit's apartment in Unjana Kewangan since his apartment located exactly at the town. There's shopping mall and some interesting shops to visit. But since I'm not in a good condition (got flu and sore throat since day 2),so we just went to shopping mall to buy some chocolates (it's duty free ok,like Langkawai) and I bought 2 pieces of short pants. On Saturday,we had our lunch at chicken rice restaurant (forgot its name) and we cooked for our dinner,just a simple Nasi Goreng with telur dadar and some chicken wings we bought outside. On Sunday, we ate at Mamak Restaurant and it cost me rm7.50 for nasi+ayam+telur masin+sayur bayam+teh'o suam where I can get it for rm4.00 if I bought it at Pak Ali,UTP. Haha..but the foods in Labuan are quite expensive like in K.L even though it's not developed like K.L. I don't why...

p/s: I'm a lil' bit excited for tomorrow since I'll be doing my SIPP (Schlumberger Injuries Prevention Program) hopefully and then I can start working at the workshop. Yeay~

Greating~

It has been a very longgg time (around 5 month I think~) since the last post. Yeah, I had been very busy for the past 5 month with an event called T.E.C = Technology, Education & Career. I was the Project Manager of this event plus being a 3rd Year student with a lots of projects and assignments. Well, it's the nature of a student I guess. Owh, not to forget, the internet in UTP was damn slow (until now,it has been better). Not only giving us trouble in surfing the internet, we couldn't even do research for our projects or assignments. Our students used to call UTP as Universiti Tenet Perlahan. Hahaha..it's match rite? But lately,the connection was getting better. Thank god but you what,we just came to the end of the semester. Now we're in study week. So,what's the point of having faster connection during this time?? (perhaps to encourage the students not to study?? Hehehe..) And paling menyakitkan hati is that,next sem I'm going to do my internship!! Gosh, UTP should fix this problem much earlier. We had this problem since last year.

Ok,enough for the internet thingy. As I mentioned before, next semester, I'll be doing my internship for 8 months (very long time rite??). Alhamdulillah, I got the offer from Schlumberger for my internship placement. For those who are not in Oil & Gas industry, you might find that Schlumberger is a funny name rite? Yes, indeed. I also laughed at the 1st time I heard the name. I even pronounced it as "slumbejer". But the fact is,this is the top leading company in providing services for Oil & Gas industry. It's a giant company,based in US and they pay you a lot. Just imagine, for internship, they pay me $350 = RM1200++ and also provide accommodation & transportation. My pocket money (given by MARA) is approximately around rm600 and plus some money given by Mom around rm200. So total up, I'll be getting around rm2000 during my internship. Wow!!! Hahaha..it's like a salary for some people who have worked for some times. I'm looking forward to start my internship soon (insyaAllah this coming June).

CoretanKu : the Present and the Future

It's been a while since the last time I wrote in my blog. Well,currently I'm still in exam mode. However, I only have one last paper to go which is Reaction Engineering. It's the toughest subject for this semester. I'm hoping that I could do better during the exam. I had done 4 papers before and among fours, I think only two papers that I did well. Another two I would consider just ok la (I'm hoping I'll get at least C+ for those two papers. Hehe..but hopefully B or B+ laa..). So,this week would be the last week of this semester and officially I've completed my 2nd year 2nd sem in UTP. Next year, I'll be in 3rd year 1st sem. Oh gosh,I can't believe it,seriously. I'll be having ETP (Engineering Team Project) where we need to do a project in a group consist of all the Engineering's fields in UTP (Chemical, EE, Civil, Mechanical & Petroleum) and I wonder who will be team mates for the coming ETP. Not to be forgotten, I'll be applying for internship as well for next semester starting February onwards. I'm kinda scared actually since my seniours this semester had so much difficulties in applying for the placement. My target would be Oil & Gas company namely Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, Weatherford, Halliburton or Shell. I hope that I can get a place among those 5 companies that I mentioned just now. But though,the competition is very tough. UTP students are damn good is every aspect and I won't be easy to undergo the intership in those companies. I need to be the best among the best and show them that I have the qualities that they're looking for. And yet,I still think that I need to improve myself a lot and I only have like 2 months from now. I really need to work hard on it and I'll do anything to make sure that I will be doing my internship at those 5 companies especially Schlumberger. I'm like dying to work with them as they have a very great reputation in Oil & Gas industry and they pay a lot u know. Hehe..well,just pray for the best and may the best be with me, insyaAllah~

Harap diorg b'semangat utk melaksanakan TEC nie. Lps tu risau dgn pemilihan committee lg. Hrp2 diorg dpt memilih committee yg bagus2 la. Ke aku nie yg risau t'lebih?? Final exam start Selasa dpn tp aku x study pn sgt. Dok cbuk dgn TEC nie. Yela, selagi x settle,mmg xleh nk study. Even nk tido pn asyik t'pikir2 psl TEC. Boleh kate sume benda yg aku buat, mesti pikir psl TEC. Hrp2 aku leh la control otak aku nie drp asyik t'pikirkn psl TEC nie. Besar betul penangan TEC nie kt aku yeee. Xpela, mungkin nie ujian dr Allah utk aku. Supaya aku lebih tabah & kuat. I need to take everything positively. Walaupun ade few masalah time awal2 Hicom TEC nie dibentuk. Tp biase la tu kan,setiap bnda kt dunia nie mesti ade mslh. From that we'll learn. That's a challenge for me. Skrg aku just buat yg t'baik utk TEC nie dan juga utk final sem nie. Aku berdoa agar aku b'jaya dlm kedua-dua perkara nie. Mungkin bila kita diberi ujian atau ditimpa musibah, kita akan lebih ingat kpd Tuhan. Makna nyer Tuhan sebenar nyer syg kat kita. Dia xnk kita hanyut & lalai dlm hal2 duniawi nie. Setiap kali kita lalai je,dia akan uji kita. Supaya kita ingat kpd-Nya. Tp tidak b'makna org yg tidak lalai itu tidak di uji. Selagi kita b'gelar hamba Allah,selagi itulah Allah akan uji kita dgn pelbagai ujian. Utk menambah & meningkatkan keiamanan serta ketaqwaan kpd-Nya. Aku b'syukur sgt2 sbb aku masih berada di jalan yg benar. Walau pernah suatu ketika,aku terpesong. Tp Allah itu Maha Penyayang. Dia beri aku petunjuk ke jln yg lurus & benar. Itu sume lumrah hidup. When everytime we make a mistake, we must learn from it. People who never made any mistake will not learn anything. Mungkin kita jahil pd masa tu. Yg pasti,kita belajar & cari jln yg betul. Ok la,dah byk aku tulis nie. Ingt nk tulis sikit je. Tp Alhamdulillah,hati aku lebih tenang skrg. Walaupun masih terdapat sedikit kegusaran di hati ni, tp hrp2 ia akan pergi & aku akn jd lebih tenang. InsyaAllah~~

Salam Aidilfitri to all~

After raya for a week,so today is the time for me to go back to UTP (I already here though). It's like 'tak puas' coz I only beraya for 5 days only. Started at Pahang (my dad's kampung) then I went to Johor and last was at Melaka. Then, I went back home on Sunday. I've to go beraya to few of my friend's houses but since I came back from kampung on Sunday,so I couldn't go to any of the houses. So sad laa... I've promised to few of them and some of them also did ask me to come to their house but I couldn't. Maybe next raya laa,insyaAllah.

Owh,bout the topic of this post,I really missed some of the old time of mine. I do miss my school time, also my raya time when I was younger. When I was at the Komuter station (during my way back home), I saw few secondary students,perhaps form 3 or 4, I think. Then I started to remember my school time,when I was about to go back home for any holidays. I did have few friends from the same area of my hometown. So, all of us took a bus from Melaka Sentral to Seremban, then we took a komuter to UKM. But when I'm in UTP, I don't have any. I do have friends from Selangor or K.L where I normally 'tumpang' their car but they're not in the same area of mine. It's not an issue actually. Just comparing with the old time.

Living as a university student is very tough I think. Even though when I was at school, I really wanted to be at university since some of my seniors said that life in university is so 'bebas'. I do admit it but as we grow older,our responsibilities will be even more compared when we were younger. I need to think of so much things and the obstacles are even tougher. I did think few times that I want to finish my studies as soon as possible and I want to work. But then,when I was at kampung, one of my auties said that, once you've worked, then you will appreciate more on you previous life (during university time) and you wish that you want that life again. Haha.. When I think it back, I started to wonder that, I did wish the same thing when I was in school and the same thing happens right now. I do miss my old time and I do think that my school time is better than now. So,beware of what you wish for as you might regret it. So, I just keep telling to myselt that I need to be grateful of what I have right now.

So now, I need to get back to the reality and stop dreaming. I've lots of things to do right now. I have an assignment to be submitted tomorrow, a presentation on Thusday and a test plus another assigment on Friday. Huhuhu..next week will be even more busy as more things to do. I'll keep it for the next post then. =P

Me: Homesick & New Event~

Alhamdulillah, now dah 17 hari kita b'puasa & lg 13 hari je nk raya. Haha..I'm so "homesick" right now. Just imagine,almost 3 month since the last time I went back home. I really miss my home; my family,my room & my TV. Haha..plus,my 'bantal busuk'. InsyaAllah,I'll be going home on the 26th,can't wait to be at home. But there's a price to pay. Haha..before the Raya's holiday, I got 4 lab reports, 3 assignments, 2 test & 2 presentations to be done. Gosh,it'll be a very busy time of me for these 2 weeks. Plus I have joined another 1 event called Career Placement Week 2008 (CPW'08). This event is to help UTP's students in getting their job as well as for interns. We'll be inviting companies to conduct interview during that week (20-24 Oct). For this event, the organizing committees consist of only 9 people; Daus,me,Syu,Skar,Aiza,Acap,Embun,Ridzuan & Aizat. I would say,those people are very good in doing their jobs. Even though it seems like we lack of manpower,but it's not. So far,we're doing great. So guys,keep up the great job. All the best k. CASFUMAL 2008 - The Gathering of Future Malaysian Leaders

Alhamdulillah, today is the 14th day of fasting. Hope you guys are doing very well. This time post is about one of the event that I've joined during my studies in UTP. It called Career Summit for Future Malaysian Leaders 2008 (CASFUMAL'08). This event was aimed to exposed the so called "Malaysian Future Leaders" (since the participants were among the MPP of higher institutions all around Malaysia) to the real scenario of the career that they'll be facing and the challenges once they become a Leader soon.

We managed to invite 7 corporates figures in Malaysia to share their experiences with the delegates. They were the Vice President of Agilent Technologies, General Manager of Scomi, CEO of AirAsia X, Country President of Motorola, Executive Chairman of Nadicorp and Managing Director of Shell. It was also been officiated by Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, the Minister of Higher Institution. The 2 days convention was held at Pan Pacific KLIA Hotel (the best Airport Hotel in Asia) and been sponsored by Shell (RM 150,000), Scomi (RM 15,000), Motorola (RM 15,000) and Agilent Technologies (RM 6,000).

For this event, I was assigned to be the Head of Corporate Relations - our task was to find the speakers for this convention. Praise to God,this convention was ran smoothly and most of the delegates were satisfied with it (this is the 1st event ever indeed!!). In fact,from 31 October until 2 November 2008,we'll be going to Thailand for our appreciation trip. To all the committee of CASFUMAL'08, hope to see you guys in Thailand soon. Thailand,here we come!! Sawadikap~

Anyway,from my title above,I want to write something bout myself lately...huhu...I think I've found a new place to express my feelings+emotions+problem etc which is my blog~ yesterday and a day before,I had 2 test; Safety on Tue & ProbStat on Wed...I did quite ok la during both test since the questions are ot that difficult...but what I regret most is my attitude...i missed 2 days of terawikh since I'd stayed up to study for the test a day before each test (so at night,I felt sooo sleepy & missed my terawikh)...the worst part was,yesterday I slept for almost 12 hours (from 9 pm to 7 am)...huh,teruk kan??? Then for today,I didn't have any lab and supposedly I do some callings for CPW but again,I slept from 3pm to 6pm...OMG,what's wrong with me...I sleep a lot lately...I know la it's fasting mont but I shouldn't do that right...hmmm...

Well,I pray to God that I could change after this...no more excessive sleeping after this...k guys,I need to get ready for terawikh after this..if you have any advise to me,please leave your comment here..please,I really need it...k,Happy Fasting and all the best~

Dear readers,sorry coz dah lame x update this blog. I was (still am) busy to update this blog. Plus,dgn masalah internet UTP nie yg cukup menguji kesabaran (sgt lah lmbt yer internet kat UTP nie,nak update blog pun susah). Now I'm using wireless at my room,plus I have time to update the blog. But yet,don't expect me to update this blog everyday la..I'll try to post something at least once a week..

Sedikit tazkirah, sedar x sedar,dah seminggu kita berpuasa. Harap2 byk lah ibadah yg kite dh buat yeee. Bulan Ramadhan adalah bulan di mana kite digalakkan utk memperbanyakan ibadah, doa & amal makruf. So,I hope all my muslim's friends out there to fully utilized this opportuniy given by Allah S.W.T. Semoga kita akan menjadi insan yg lebih baik after this,insyaAllah.

Okey,so what I have done this week? Definitely la fasting...hehe..plus doing my other rutins; going to lectures,labs, doing assignments bla,bla,bla..Kinda dull actualy my life lately but yet still damn busy. I had 2 test (Process Instrumentation & Chemical Reaction Engineering) last week and I did so bad on those. Seriously very disappointed with that. Yela,my test was just after the Convofair. I didn't have enough time to catch up and cover all the topics for the test (eventhough some of the questions were taken from the assignment & lecture notes). But for this coming week, I got 3 test (the remaining - Separation Process II, Probability & Statistics and Process Safety & Loss Prevention). And yet,I'm still not ready for those. Haiya Anas,wake up la...come on,you need to study very hard k...guys,please advise me on this..hehe..

Ok,it's already 12.30 midnight now. I'm soooo sleepy + tired actualy..I had a 5 hours post-mortem on the morning till evening...but yet it wasn't a bad thing actualy..I already missed my beloved Sponsorship Dept - Aisyah,Shariffah,Syu,Nisa,Pidot,Rahman,Mira & Amaleena. You guys had done a very good job...well done~ On the Monday night,I'll be having a HICOM-EC Postmortem...last year,it took 3 days..I don't la this how..hopefully 1 day would be enough..kinda cuak actually...dunno why...huuuu...

1st Sahur on the 1st day of Ramadhan..

This year is my 12th year of fasting in Ramadhan (since I started fasting when I was 7 years old). As always,1st day of fasting mesti la semangat nak bersahur. Last night,after perfoming the Terawikh prayer at the UTP's mosque a.k.a Masjid An-Nur,I spoke to my friends (Eppy & Amzar) that I wanted to cook for the sahur. They kinda shock at 1st. Yela,they thought that I want to cook for the break-fast (berbuka). Hehe...so,around 10.30 p.m, me & Afiq a.k.a Cutez went to Rahmath (one of the mini market in Taman Maju) to buy few stuff for us to cook. But then Eppy & Amzar joined us since Amzar hasn't taken his diner yet. So,after shopped all the necessary things (beras,ikan bilis,bawang outih & merah,telur,cili giling,kicap etc),we had a supper at Salam (but for Amzar it was a dinner).

Then,around 1.30 a.m, me,Afiq & Eppy watched 'Kekasihku Seru',just for 1 episode only (seram kot,dah la tgh2 pagi buta - eventhough it says that semua setan kena rantai time bulan puasa but still seram gak!!). So,around 4.45 a.m, I woke up (due to Eppy's alarm - lagu Please Don't Stop The Music tue~) and started to prepare for the sahur. Just imagine,around 5 a.m,we had a blackout!! O.M.G,I was damn worried since nasi x masak lagi kot. But thank God,after 5 minutes,we have the electricity back,huh~ Then we started to cook la,just a simple2 one - telur dadar,sosej goreng & sambal tumis. It was good actually since nasi yang aku masak 2 pot abes & all the lauk pun abes gak. So kire ok la tu kan. Hehe..then,after sahur,we watched again 'Kekasihku Seru' for 3 episodes and then we continued sleeping~

Assalamualaikum..

1st of all,happy fasting to all readers. Yeah,I started to have my 1st blog on the 1st day of Ramadhan. Hope it will get some 'keberkatan'. Anyway,this is my 1st time blogging. I'm really new on this,lots to learn. Previously,I just read some of my friends' blogs. It looks interesting though. That's when I started to feel that I should have one soon. Then when I woke up this morning,the 1st thing that pop up into my mind is to have a blog. Hahaha..it sounds funny+weird rite?? Nevermind,I'll try to enjoy writing in this blog. Try to let other people to know what's happening in my life & what I've been through. Even though I think that I don't have much of interesting stories or experiences to be shared or writen but I'll try to keep my blog fun & enjoyable while you're reading. Gosh,I couldn't stop writing. My hand is just keep on typing and I've lots of things to tell about. But I think I need to keep it short as it might look boring to read all those words that I wrote. But don't worry,I'll put few pictures soon. Actually I'm planing to share to all of you bout what I've involved into during my studies in Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) - some might not know where I'm studying now. Okey,enough for now.
